Meet the Chef

 Chef Shannon Kimball Award winning sauce creator, private chef, culinary instructor and founding member of the Kansas City Food Artisans; Shannon “FireBug” Kimball, a self taught chef, and raised on a cattle ranch, found a love for cooking as soon as he could reach the stovetop and hold a spoon. His mother and grandmother always encouraged home cooking and cultivated Shannon’s passion.

Today, as a barbeque expert and local grilling enthusiast, his cooking style and unique sauces have won the attention of the Midwest culinary circle. Shannon’s handcrafted sauces are produced in small batches from locally sourced all natural ingredients and have surprised the competition by winning several taste awards including “People’s Choice” – American Royal BBQ Sauce contest 2010 & First Place- Specialty Hot-Great American BBQ Sauce contest 2010. In addition, Chef Shannon recently competed in the “Annual Hen House Local Chef Challenge 2011”, up against two well known local chefs, and won first place.
